  • BORGO - Vitriola

  • Height. m.487 - in the suburb of Vitriola placed under C Baroni and Mareggino, local information say that in the past there were monks; in an underlying field are verified recoveries attributable to a cemetery ( perhaps of a missing church of C of Tonelli ). In the center there is a building crumbling recently, that presents a 15th century portal with concave shelves and impending window with symbol of the diamond enterprise; the first iconnected to other building across a portal and a portico, in part demolished, from which the jamb discovered in 1972 with the hand as bas-relief and a mutilated registration ( perhaps with sixteenth century date ) is missing. Next there is another building with portal dated 1639, densely decorated with lozenge and fish thorn incisions and window with monolithic arc. Down, the building is prepared like court, and you can see another window with diamond. The oratory is entitled to S.Antonio from Padua, it has monolithic circular window, portal with modonate lintel with graven the date 1663 and above the coat of arms with three lilies with rampant lion. In the opposite side of the road there is an eighteenth-century building that preserves a round portal with decorated shelves and arc key; is linked to a house-tower with angular ashlars tans.
