  • SAN PELLEGRINO AND SAN BIANCO SANCTUARY - S. Pellegrino in Alpe

  • In the 7th century, on the border with Tuscany, was built a hospice for the travellers who , following Bulbica Street, crossed the Apennines. Afterwards the building got its name from its founder :S. Pellegrino. The sanctuary was rebuilt in stone in 1462. In the inside one can find three altars and a wood-crucifix dating back to XVI century. In the presbyter there is a small temple containing S.Pellegrino mortal remains urn and a bust portraying the saint, made by Civitali in XV century. Close to the church the Museum of Peasant-Society's History has been built.
