Sestola / DISCOVER THE AREA / ART AND CULTURE / churches, baptisteries

  • This building presents a XVIIth century structure and it was originally connected with the residence of the Calvab family, which exercised the patronage over the church. It was remodelled in the Eighties and, after a period in which it served as a seat for exhibitions and concerts, today it contains a collection of altars and pictures, recently restored. The church is open every day. In October, Holy Masses and afternoon rosaries take place. In winter, the Holy Masses are celebrated from Monday to Friday. The first Sunday of October the church festival, with the characteristic air ballon throw, occurs.
