Thanks to its position during the period of the Abbey of Frassinoro, it was the wealthiest and most populated Court of the territory. According to tradition, it seems that the Parish Church of Sant’Andrea was one of the one hundred churches which were erected by Countess Matilde between the end of the eleventh century and the beginning of the twelfth century. The villages dominated by ancient house-towers and fortified houses are of great interest - Pignone, Cà di Bellucci, Cà Tonelli, Cà de Baroni - as are the rural stone buildings with their typical roofs and the eighteenth century Villa Tonelli.
